It's a Boy!
Wow, it has almost been a year since my last post. This has really got to quit happening! SOO much has happened since then. We moved to a condo in Cottonwood Heights and I love it! Had a nephew born in October, Mason, who is absolutely adorable. Went to DisneyWorld with our friend Chris and Mckenzie in November. And the most exciting of all.... New Years day found out we were expecting. This by the way was NOT planned.. so yes I took about 5 tests because I didn't believe it but we couldn't be more thrilled!
I'm at 19 weeks now and time is FLYING. I wish I could slow it down just the tiniest bit.. there is so much to do before then. We found out last week that it's going to be a boy and we can't decide on the name yet.. we have 2 in mind, Ethan or Austin. We aren't 100% sure on one yet but luckily we have a few more months :) I am sure going to have fun during that time though, I have some great shopping ahead of me! I'm also going to start on some cute quilts.. can't wait to see how they turn out!
Tyler has been crazy busy with school, I honestly cannot wait for him to have his degree and be done with it all. I keep telling myself that good things come to those who wait and we will be able to really appreciate the things that we have knowing we worked so hard for it. It's quite frustrating to see those around us that are handed everything and just expect it.. The plan is for him to apply to the nursing program this December and start the following Fall. After that onward to a Bachelors, Masters then Doctorates. I know he can do it, he is SO smart. His goal is to be a Nurse Practitioner and I know he will be AMAZING.
I'm going to try and make it a goal to post at LEAST once a month.. with pictures. I honestly hate when people post without them and here I am with none! Guess I better go plug in my camera :)

7 Months Over Due
Wow.. a lot has happened since the last time I have posted. It's been 7 whole months. Just to name a few things.. Tyler and I went to Mexico (which was fabulous), spent a week in DisneyLand and San Diego with friends, and Tyler enrolled full time at school (along with a full-time job). We also moved in with Tyler's family to save up for a house. Needless to say, it's all been such a whirl wind.
As for Tyler going to school.. he is wanting to go into the medical field. It first started out as a Physician Assistant, but with such limited openings at schools he is going into nursing and eventually hopes to be a Nurse Practioner, which requires a Doctorates. We have a long road ahead of us but I'm really excited to see everything as it unfolds. As for me.. I'm still not exactly sure what I would like to do and so right now I'm just working.
Recently I've been really interested in photography and have started to play around with pictures and editing. I haven't been taking pictures of people, more or less just landscape and architecture. I am hoping to find some classes and workshops to help me learn new skills and the latest trends. I'm really excited to see what all I can learn and create. I've had a ton of fun so far!

Utah State Capital
This next weekend we are going down to St. George with Tyler's family for their annual 4th of July getaway. It's so nice to just stay at the condo and relax. I'm hoping to get somewhat of a tan by the pool!
Hopefully this little post and blog make-over will get me motivated to be somewhat better a blogging.. so there will be more to come!

Bring on the panic attack!
So... Tyler and I were set to leave on our first big vacation tomorrow at 7:20 am to Cancun. Exciting huh? Well bring on the "blizzard" and that excitement is mulitplied! (By the way weatherman; if this is a blizzard I am NOT impressed) All I can think about it the warm sunshine and beaches. As the night goes on my phone rings and I assume it's my mom letting me know she got to Arizona safely... WRONG. The voice on the end of the phone makes my heart just sink.
"We are regretful to inform you that your flight has been canceled"
Let the words sink in. Yep. 3...2...1. GRRRRRRRR. Then my lovely night on the phone begins and I become grateful for unlimited minutes after 7pm. I cannot believe how difficult it is to change a vacation package. Our flights got switched to Thanksgiving day and coming back a day later. However the hotel was a different story. After being on hold forever it was finally decided that my check in/out and flights did not match. Really?.. I promise I'm not a mean person and I feel bad about the person on the other end of the line.. that job has got to be frustrating.. BUT if that's the case then change my reservation!!
After a long conversation and some AWESOME hold music... new itinerary! I have to admit I am a bit disappointed that we have to wait and feeling a bit guilty that I should go to work tomorrow. I know I should try to save my PTO but.. when the husband offers to take my shopping how can I decline? I'd hate to hurt his feelings!!
Now that I'm done venting I'm ready to hit the sack. I won't be uncrossing my fingers until I am on that flight Thursday morning.

Long Due
Well.. it is 4:42 am and for some reason I found my way onto my blog. Tyler and I went out tonight to see a friend who works at Chili's and then we went to see Due Date. One of the funniest movies I have seen in a while! Then we came home and popped in Smallville to which Tyler fell asleep to.
I am sitting here thinking about the point we are at in our lives and find myself pretty satisfied. It's definitely not perfect but I'm excited for the new adventures about to start. Tyler is going to enroll full time this spring in hopes of making his way to the Physician Assistant program at the University of Utah and I will most likely be enrolling in night school at Cameo. We are so excited to get start and find out where we end up!
We have a pretty cute little apartment that I have not decorated yet to my disappointment... I think I'm scared to put something up in fear that I won't like it... or that I'll be tempted to just go buy more things!! We did buy some stuff tonight however so I think I will have to brave it and just go for it. I'll have to post some pictures once I'm done. Hopefully it turns out cute! It won't be too long until I get to decorate for Christmas, which I am definitely looking forward to. However, Tyler and I have a trip to Cancun planned for Thanksgiving which we are SO excited for. It will be our first big trip/holiday so we are counting down the days! I even went and bought a swimsuit for each day... Tyler loves to spoil me and I can't help but give in sometimes:)
Well I've decided it is time for BED. Peace out for now.

Catching up..
Well it has been forever since I have created my first blog.. so let's catch things up to speed. October Tyler asked me to marry him and I said yes. The only trouble was that I was still in Cedar City and it was no fun being 4 hours away, so we were just relying on long holiday weekends to spend time together. Thanksgiving was a blast, we went to Kemmerer to his grandma's house to spend time with her and Aunt Shelly's family. I also went Christmas tree hunting for the first time ever. It was a fun but very long day.
Two weeks after that I finished up with my finals and made my final trip home with the car all packed up. Pulling into my driveway was such a nice feeling, since I knew I would be able to see Tyler as much as I wanted to. Christmas was a ton of fun, we divided up our time between our parents houses. Christmas Eve dinner with the Cheathams and Christmas day dinner at my house. The funniest part was that Tyler and I can't keep any secrets from eachother so we knew exactly what the other had gotten.. We're horrible.
Now it's January and Tyler is still training for his new job as a Health Benefits Specialist for IHC. I am looking for a more stable job but feel confident I will find something soon. We plan on getting married March 13th in the Salt Lake Temple and it's just not coming fast enough!! I'm sure that every engaged couple feels this way though. Funny thing is though that I have not planned a single thing. I should probably get on it.. Anyways I will post some bridals when I get the pictures. I am so excited to see them!

The Beginning..
Well this is my first blog, so we'll see how this whole thing goes..
But it all started with Tyler asking me to hang out on a Saturday in July.. who knew what would become of it? We instantly hit it off and always had great times together!! We'd go to the park, reservoir, canyon, movies, dinner, mall or wherever it sounded most fun. As school rolled around it was hard to let him go, but through technology (a.k.a cell phones) we were able to keep in touch.
Funniest thing though.. Tyler only made it 3 whole days before he had to drive down to see me. I can't say I was too disappointed though.. I missed him already too!
We'll just say that what we had planned on being montly visits soon turned into an every weekend sort of deal, and a phone call every night. What can I say? He's a Cheatham boy.. they are amazing.
To speed up to current time, Tyler proposed to me last night at the temple, (our favorite place) and I said yes! I am so excited to start planning a wedding with him and being apart of the Cheatham family. They are amazing!
